Mon Education Network (M E Network) and Mon Affair Union (MAU) Meeting

1. Nai Son Hton explained detail of MAU and how it is work. Now, they are doing PR for upgrading the organization to get more hands of Mon people including students.

2. Nai Kao Rot explained about the Mon workers in Thailand and they are cooperation with Labor Rights Promotion Network (LPN) to help migrant workers in Thailand.

3. Nai Kasauh Mon talked about the connection between students and Politic and tell the detail about MAU and MUL with the current situation in MNSP(New Mon State Party).

4. Nai Thein Win has shared why we have built ME Network including Vision, Mission and Objectives including rule and regulation of the Network. Additionally, Nai Thein Win also explain what ME Network have done so far (Mon Revolution Day, teaching in Wat Bang Rai and the trip of presentation for scholarship)

5. Nai Win Hlaing, Director of ME Network, explained about ME Network fund raising and about submitting the proposal for Mon Nursery School.

Suggestion from Nai Kasauh Mon

-Nai Kasauh Mon has suggested that ME Network should aim to build a Student Union in the Future.

-He also Mention that ME Network should not lead in political activities like holding Mon Revolution day because it can affect our future activities and would lead us difficult in discussing with NGOs.

- ME Network should focus on social work. The aim of Student Union should be clear and only focus on Education and social work. ME Network will be under the MUL Network and it is linked to MAU network.

- ME Network should also try to get Mon-Thai students joining hands.

-Nai Kasauh has encouraged ME Network to publish a Newsletter in order to motivate Mon students inside and along the border. It will be also a step to go on building Mon Student Union in the future.
