China (ChattahBox) - A toddler in China has given doctors a shock after it was discovered that her growing belly was holding a very small, growing baby.
Kang Mengru was taken to doctors after her belly began to grow and become oddly distended. The one year old quickly ended up with a bloat that made her appear to be pregnant.
When doctor’s took a closer look they were shocked to find that the comparison wasn’t far off.
Kang is carrying the fetus of her twin within her belly.
The parasitic twin is part of a very rare condition where two fetuses form in the womb, but one is absorbed into the other. This can often lead to extra body parts, such as three legs or arms.
The condition that leads to embryonic parts being left within the abdomen is even more rare, and created a tumor-like growth in the body of the child.
Kang is now awaiting surgery to have the twin removed.
