Muammar al- Gaddafi wrote a will asking to be buried next to ‘family and relatives’ in his hometown of Sirte.
The dictator said he wanted to ‘die as a Muslim’ and be buried ‘in the clothes I was wearing at the time of my death and my body unwashed’.
He also urged his supporters to ‘fight any foreign aggressor against Libya, today, tomorrow and always’.
Gaddafi, who was killed on Thursday in Sirte, said he had turned down offers of a ‘secure and stable life’ so he could continue to fight ‘as a badge of duty and honour’.
The document surfaced as deputy justice minister Abdel-Basit al-Mzirig said the 69-year-old’s burial would be carried out according to Muslim tradition but the location of his remains would be kept secret.
Amid growing international disquiet about the chaotic scenes surrounding Gaddafi’s death, US secretary of state Hillary Clinton yesterday backed a possible UN investigation while Britain said it expected Libyan authorities to carry out an inquiry.
